Pagan spring rituals celebrating the return of light

 

Imbolc: Celebrated around February 1st, Imbolc is a festival that marks the first signs of spring and is associated with the Celtic goddess Brigid. It is traditionally celebrated with fire as the main focus, symbolizing the light of the sun and the fire of Brigid. Rituals vary but often include lighting candles, cleansing, decorating with flowers, fasting, and making offerings to Brigid.

 

 



Ostara

Celebrated on the Spring Equinox (March 20th or 21st), Ostara is a festival that celebrates the early stirrings
of spring and is associated with fertility.


Beltane: Celebrated on April 30th or May 1st, Beltane is a festival that celebrates fertility and the blossoming of nature.
